Ira Zaltz

Ira Zaltz is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Oakland University School of Medicine in Royal Oak, Michigan.  He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, completed residency at the Harvard Combined Program, and fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.  He practices as a general pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at William Beaumont Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, Michigan.  He developed an interest in hip surgery while a resident of Dr. Michael Millis and focuses the majority of his time caring for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with hip disease.  He is a member of the ANCHOR group and has contributed to multiple clinical studies and scientific publications over the past fifteen years.  He has an interest in dynamic hip imaging and, along with his radiology colleagues, has helped to develop a technique to evaluate the mature hip.
