Benjamin Shore

Dr. Benjamin Shore is Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School and the Co-Director of the Cerebral Palsy and Spasticity Centre at Boston Children’s Hospital. He is also the fellowship director of the Pediatric Orthopedic Fellowship at Boston Children’s. He completed his biology degree at the University of Victoria, British Columbia where he was nominated as a Rhodes Scholar. He then moved to London, Ontario where he completed his medical school and orthopedic residency at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. After residency, he completed two years of fellowship training, beginning at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and then returning to Boston Children’s Hospital for the second year.

Dr. Shore joined the Boston Children’s group in 2010.  During his fellowship and first year in practice he completed his Master’s of Public Health at the T.H. Chan School of Public Health at Harvard. He has a subspecialty interest in cerebral palsy, hip disorders of children and pediatric musculoskeletal trauma and infection. He is active member of the AACPDM, AAOS and recently the council chair for the HIP/LE QSVI committee within POSNA. He founded the CORTICES pediatric trauma study group and currently serves as a member of the executive committee.
